Custom Van Builds
Griam
A new dawn.
A compact yet capable van that’s ready to explore the American West.
Coming from the UK, our client Rowan was adamant that they didn’t want to have a massive, over-the-top van for their trip across the US. While eager to have the amenities a van can provide, they wanted an easily maneuverable vehicle that was earthy and grounding.
Through constant collaboration, we developed a compact van with the many comforts of home in a warm, solace environment.
Griam is a Scot’s Gaelic word for sunshine, which we ultimately used as the motif for the interior design of the van. Throughout the build you can find numerous elements that tie this theme together, including the walnut sun inlay on the upper cabs, the sun imagery for the electrical cabinet’s ventilation, the bamboo edge of the bed area, and the two horizon lines that are consistent between the electrical vent, upper cabinets and countertop.
We like to think Rowan themself is the Salamander - rising with the sun to greet a new day, embarking on the life-changing adventure of moving to the US to explore its countless natural wonders.
We loved crafting this build for Rowan, packing it full of valuable amenities such as Starlink, a hidden compartment, composting toilet, and a whole lot more. Check out the specs below to see everything it brings to the wide open road.
